The Choice Beneath The Tree

He stood where shadows curved and bent,

Before a tree of firmament.

It’s leaves, like stars, in truth did gleam –

It’s roots, a tangled, darker dream.

Above the  branches whispered grace,

Each leaf a light, each breeze a face

Of clarity, of what is real –

A language only hearts can feel.

But down below, the roots ran deep,

Through murky truths the liars keep.

The fed on doubt, and drank in lies,

And never reached toward open skies.

Beside him sat a silver bowl,

Still water, calm – a mirror soul.

Not made to quench, but to reveal,

The wisdom time alone can seal.

He did not move. He did not flee.

He only watched the trembling tree.

And in that hush, the choice grew near:

To rise through truth – or root in fear.
