Hi, I’m Misti Flowers — a multifaceted artist passionate about watercolor painting, jewelry design, clothing creation, and charming home goods. I’m inspired by the whimsical beauty of nature in all its forms.

Creating is my favorite way, well the only way for me, to connect with the world around me. Whether I’m flame painting copper to reveal its brilliant blues and greens, or blending soft washes of watercolor into playful illustrations or seascapes, I’m always chasing beauty, curiosity, and a sense of wonder.

My journey as an artist has been a winding one, but I’ve always been drawn to materials that surprise me. Copper, with its ever-changing colors under heat, and watercolor, with its spontaneous flow, both challenge and delight me in the best ways. These two outlets allow me to explore texture, color, and storytelling in unique and meaningful forms.

Much of my work is inspired by the natural world—oceans, sunsets, tiny creatures, shifting light—and the quiet magic tucked into everyday moments. I aim to make pieces that feel personal and joyful, whether it’s a hand-forged bracelet or a playful animal.

In addition to my jewelry and painting, I also have a deep love for photography. Frogs, chickens, and flowers are some of my favorite subjects—each one full of personality and unexpected charm. I enjoy digitally editing my photos to highlight their most striking features, bringing in stylized touches that reflect my personal aesthetic. My photography, like the rest of my art, is a celebration of character, color, and the beauty tucked into ordinary life.

My newest creative passion is imagining art on clothing. I’m captivated by the idea of making art wearable, whether through jewelry or textiles. The thought of carrying art with you, always visible on your body rather than hanging on a wall, excites me! I collaborate exclusively with suppliers who share my commitment to producing the highest quality, eco-friendly pieces that inspire pride in the wearer. These partners use Sublimation Printing, a process that infuses water-based inks directly into fabric, which is then carefully cut and hand-sewn into the stunning creations featured at Dressed Up Hippy.

When I’m not working in the studio, you’ll most often find me outside tending to my chickens, camera in hand ready to capture the perfect moment, or lost in thought as I dream up new and exciting stories. My mind is constantly buzzing and always in creative mode, exploring endless possibilities and ideas.
